Y-3 Black Savage

 

It’s been a while since we featured one of Yohji Yamamoto’s creations for adidas here but, this Black Savage sneaker/boot/space chukka certainly got our attention. Design cues fly in from all over the adi spectrum on this one: the leather lace shield lashed onto the upper is borrowed from last year’sMadlander mash up while the toe box receives a shell top-like cap. The tri-color sole with it’s vicious teeth on the other hand, is, as far as I know, a new innovation. These wild beasts are available now from Ssense if you’ve got the notion (and about $500).
